Prom time!

The hair theme for prom this year seemed to be loose curls.

I love the messy bun look!

Brothers

One wanted his short, the other wanted "boy band" hair.
I'd say they both got just what they wanted!

Beauty School Successes!

This woman came in and wanted an up-do, pronto!

I was so nervous.

She was nice, but in a hurry. That's scary for a student!

And this was my first up-do with a real life client. She was no mannequin head!

 She loved it. Phew!

This is my youngest sister!

Finished A line bob

My now sister-in-law Melinda, came in to get auburn highlights put in her hair right before her wedding!

 Finished A-line back view

This girl came in with shoulder length hair and wanted a drastic A-line.
I wish I had taken a before shot!

 Finished A-line front view

This woman came in with a jaw length blunt cut and was ready for a change. Again, I wish I had taken a before shot. It was amazing how her face changed and lifted with this short, sassy do! She wanted her bangs left longer so she could side swipe them, but she also wanted her hair short and not above the ears.

Toni came in to get her highlights refreshed and she also wanted some previously done lowlights to go away!

I Am No Beauty School Drop Out

Cutting and coloring hair has been a passion of mine since I was a young teenager. I wanted to go to beauty school right after graduating from high school, but life happened and beauty school didn't.

I married my best friend, Matt, in 1997. We became the parents of 4 beautiful kids, and the next thing I knew almost 14 years had passed. It's true that time flies by faster the older you get!  It was hard to swallow that our baby started first grade this year. It meant that I would no longer have a side kick during the days. It also meant that I was moving into a new phase of life. And while that thought made me sad, it also opened the door to my many possibilities. There was so much I could choose to do!

So, after much thought, and with full support of  my husband, I enrolled in beauty school. I was going to be fulfilling a life long dream! I started classes at Bella Institute School of Cosmetology in September of this year and was able to complete the advanced hair design course in 7 months. I went to Salem to take my boards on May 24th and after passing two tests walked away with my official hair design license! It felt so good!

Beauty school was more challenging than I ever imagined it would be, but I LOVED every single minute of it!

I want to be great at what I do, so I am planning on taking more continuing education classes to keep me up on the latest trends in both color and cutting techniques. And lucky for me those classes are pretty easy to come by. This business is so much fun! And the opportunities for growth are quite amazing.

I hope that I can earn your business as I am trying to grow my business!
